Braided Mechanical Compression Packing 

Braided Mechanical Compression Packing, also commonly known as braided packing, compression packing or mechanical packing, is a soft, pliant and resilient material that is used to inserted into the annular space or stuffing box to seal a rotating or reciprocating device such as pumps and valves.

GraficBraid^TM  Braided from specially treated flexible graphite yarn. This flexible graphite yarn is made from exfoliated high purity crystalline mineral graphite (flake graphite).  It maintains all characteristics of mineral graphite: heat resistant, chemical resistant, resilient, lubricant, pliable, conformable, and thermal conductive.

Working Temperature: Up to 850°F if fully expose to air; Up to 1800°F in steam or other mild oxidation medium; Up to 5400°F in non-oxidizing media

Graflon^TM 1200 is a specially engineered yarn combining graphite and PTFE (Teflon®). As both PTFE and graphite are excellent sealing materials, this gives Graflon packing great sealing properties that other products cannot offer. Graflon packing is tough and durable, self-lubricant, heat and chemical resistant. It also has good thermal conductivity and very low friction factor.

High purity PTFE(Teflon^®) filament braided packing with lubricant. It is tough and durable, chemical resistant.

Shaft Speed: Up to 1600 feet per minute

Application: For various applications in corrosive environment, or other “clean” applications.

AcriBraid 1500L

Braided synthetic fiber, PTFE impregnated and lubricated. An economical substitute for asbestos packing or PTFE packing.

Construction: Interlock Braid

Working Temperature: 500°F, Max.       

pH: 2-12           Pressure: Up to 3000 psi

Shaft Speed: Up to 2500 feet per minute

Application:  Various pumps or valves.
