Graphite Compression Packing 

 

GraficBraid® is braided from specially treated flexible graphite yarn. This flexible graphite yarn is made from exfoliated high purity crystalline mineral graphite (flake graphite).  It maintains all characteristics of mineral graphite: heat resistant, chemical resistant, resilient, lubricant, pliable, conformable, and thermal conductive.  

GraficBraid 1000 - Standard Style

Braided from high purity flexible graphite yarn with high temperature inorganic carrier. This is the standard style flexible graphite packing.

Construction: Interlock braid (except small sizes)

Working Temperature:

          Up to 850°F if fully expose to air;

          Up to 1800°F in steam or other mild oxidation medium;

          Up to 5400°F in non-oxidizing media

pH: 0-14                Pressure: Up to 3000 psi              Shaft Speed: Up to 4000 FPM

Application: Pumps and valves, in wide range of temperature, pressure and chemical environment.

 

GraficBraid 1000W - Inconel Wire Inserted

GaficBraid1000WBraided from high purity flexible graphite yarn with Inconel Wire insert.

Construction: Interlock braid (except few small sizes)

Working Temperature:

          Up to 850°F if fully exposed to air;

          Up to 2000°F in steam or other mild oxidation medium

pH: 0-14        Pressure: Up to 4000 psi

Application: Valves, in wide range of temperature, pressure and chemical environment.

 

GraficBraid 1000C - With Carbon Corners

GraficBraid 1000C Carbon CornorsBraided with standard flexible graphite yarn on body, and with carbon fiber on corners

Construction: Interlock braid

Working Temperature:

          Up to 850°F if fully expose to air;

          Up to 1500°F in steam or other mild oxidation medium

pH: 0-14        Pressure: Up to 4000 psi        Shaft Speed: Up to 4000 feet per minute

Application: Pumps and valves, in wide range of temperature, pressure and chemical environment.
